Field kitchens project: cooking and distributing hot meals in camps
Project Summary

A relief initiative that aims to prepare and distribute thousands of hot meals daily to support displaced families in camps. Through this project, we seek to ensure food security and reduce the burden of searching for food in light of the difficult living conditions and lack of capabilities.

Hundreds of thousands of displaced people in camps live in exceptional living conditions, as families lack the most basic necessities of daily life, most notably adequate and healthy food. As the displacement journey continues and there is a lack of sources of income, many families - especially those supporting children and the elderly - find it extremely difficult to secure a single meal to cover their needs. In a tent environment that lacks equipped kitchens, cooking gas, and basic food supplies, securing food turns into an exhausting daily challenge that threatens the health and stability of these communities, making urgent intervention to provide ready, hot food an indispensable humanitarian necessity to save lives.

To stand by these families and alleviate the burden of displacement on them, 4Relief runs the “Field Kitchens” project directly inside the camps. Our volunteer teams work tirelessly to cook and prepare thousands of hot and nutritious meals every day, and distribute them in an organized manner to ensure they reach the most vulnerable and needy groups. This warm meal not only satisfies hunger, but also relieves mothers and fathers of the burden of dark thoughts about how to feed their children the next day. Your generous contribution to this project is a true lifeline. With your support, we can keep the fires of these kitchens burning and expand the circle of giving to reach the largest possible number of hungry and needy people.
