An overview of the water sanitation and sterile water supply project
Obtaining clean and sterilized drinking water is one of the biggest humanitarian challenges facing displaced families inside the Gaza Strip and areas affected by crises. From this standpoint, 4Relief launched a mobile water tanker project for urgent response and supplying shelter centers and overcrowded camps with treated water on a daily basis. Through our field teams and trusted partners, we work to transport thousands of liters of safe water in accordance with international safety and health standards to prevent water pollution and epidemics. The project aims to preserve the dignity of the displaced and alleviate the living burdens on families who suffer from a lack of infrastructure and a severe scarcity of resources. We are keen on field documentation and complete transparency to ensure that every contribution reaches its intended recipients at the most critical and needy points. Implementation and field verification mechanism to ensure water quality
4Relief adopts a precise mechanism that begins with examining the quality of water in approved desalination plants and ensuring its sterilization before loading it into designated tanks. The tankers move according to a daily schedule targeting critical points, such as field hospitals, community kitchens, and camps for the poorest displaced people. Direct distribution takes place under full field supervision, ensuring justice and order and preventing crowding or exploitation of the basic needs of families. At all stages of implementation, we rely on periodic reports and photo and video documentation to convey the real and tangible impact to donors and partners. Thanks to your support, the project was able to meet the daily needs of thousands of families and reduce the incidence of intestinal and skin diseases resulting from polluted water. We continue with you to expand access to cover new displacement hotspots suffering from drought and the disruption of main supply lines.
